About Dr. Dionisio Nyaga
Dr. Dionisio Nyaga is a dedicated Assistant Professor with a passion for critical anti-oppression research , ethical studies and knowledge making, and community grounded research. With a background in social work and a Ph.D., Dr. Nyaga is committed to advancing critical research methodologies in the field.
His research interests in critical Blackness and Africaness, combined with a focus on engaging the 'third eye' for societal and research transformation, make his work unique and impactful.
Mission and Philosophy
Dr. Nyaga's mission is to promote critical research methodologies in social work, emphasizing anti-oppressive research and social justice education/research. He believes in a student-focused approach and advocates for multi-perspective education.
By engaging in discussions on power dynamics, Marxist theory, and critical research methodologies, Dr. Nyaga challenges traditional norms and encourages a deeper understanding of societal structures.
